The real opiate of the people: Anyone who's ever spent more than 10 minutes in my presence knows that I hate television and everything it's become, especially in the last few years. It's mind-rotting, zombifying, amoral, degrading, shameless, worthless, relentless garbage, and it's one of many things helping to dig a hole from which our culture will never escape if nothing changes. That said, when a show is good, it's like a beautiful flower growing on top of a landfill: a rare treasure that is to be watched and enjoyed, but most of all not taken for granted. What we aim to do is highlight for you the shows that are worth your time. Ones that will at minimum be entertaining without insulting to your intelligence, if not even provoking said intelligence with wit and/or wisdom. So in this section you'll find the good, the bad, and (almost exclusively) the available on DVD, for advertising is a plague upon mankind. Watch wisely.
